Bird of Prey Outdoors
OUTDOOR BIRD OF PREY photo shoots - at a private venue - £ 50 per person These photo shoots are restricted to a maximum of 6 people and need 4 to run. The price includes the use of an indoor venue for all or part of the day which means you do not loose your day due to bad weather. The birds will only wear 1 jess and will be static or flown on a creance. All examples of birds in flight for the outdoor workshops have had a creance photoshopped out of the picture and if needed advice can be given on how to do this. An effort will be made to provide natural prey. Please refer to the bookings page for dates and details.
Equipment - The birds are used to close contact so wide angle lenses can be used. A 200 - 300mm lens will be useful for flight work. A flash may help for fill in - particularly with the owls. I use Canon equipment and am happy to lend my limited outfit free of charge by prior arrangement. It will be possible to get good results with standard equipment but please contact me if you need to discuss the suitability of your equipment.
Experience - I aim to offer a day where people can enjoy each others company and achieve their aims for the day. As the group sizes are small ; there will be time to give technical advice to ensure that beginners both learn and achieve a memorable set of photographs. There will also be time to make sure that the more experienced photographers have the birds placed in the settings they require and I will be happy to discuss these needs prior to the day ,as well as during its course.
YOUR OWN VENUE, - Bird of Prey photo shoots These can be arranged by agreement and will be £240 per day plus 40 pence per mile to cover time and cost of traveling. I am happy to be flexable over the number of photographers present
